NetSuite OneWorld Supports Growth and Improves Processes at Gawker Media

NetSuite announced that Gawker Media has consolidated its sales, marketing, and financial operations on NetSuite OneWorld, the world’s first and only cloud computing platform specifically designed to run a multi-subsidiary, international business. By eliminating inefficient point solutions, Gawker Media has refined its processes and greatly expanded its advertising reach, aiding in substantial year-over-year growth from 2008 onward.


GigaOm Raises $2.5M, Claims 10,000 Pro Subscribers

Giga Omni Media has raised $2.5 million in a fourth round of funding. Founder Om Malik said some of the money will continue the growth of the GigaOm Pro service, which he said already has 10,000 subscribers.

Gawker Media’s Traffic Passes HuffPo’s

In the past seven days, Gawker Media’s blogs have brought in 9.1 million U.S. readers to The Huffington Post’s 8.7 million, according to Quantcast. Gawker Media has been catching up to HuffPo in monthly uniques. That month, Gawker Media had 18.9 million visitors; HuffPo had 21.6 million. Both sites are crushing every newspaper online except for The New York Times.
